My Personal Weblog

Welcome to my blog!  I am a huge fan of comments so if you have any feedback please take the time to make post a reply.  I always respond :)

A little about me...

I'm a (Current Year - 1981) year old male born in Boise Idaho and raised in Severna Park Maryland.  I married my beautiful wife Karen in Severna Park on November 3rd 2007 and we are expecting our first child November 3rd 2009!

My current profession is Project Management (Projects) but in my spare time I develop web sites, photograph everything and occasionally write in my blog.  I try to post  about everything but am learning that developing an audiance requires more focus.  I started posting photos, videos and stories about myself, friends and family but am trying to branch out a bit more.  I love discussing politics and technology and hope to expand my reach in each direction but I have no plans to stop life blogging any time soon!

I am always trying to learn and share new things.   If you enjoy some of the content I have posted please subscribe to my RSS feed , follow me on twitter or join my email list.

If you have a blog please contact me and share.  I am always interested in learning more about my audience!

So Long Netflix

This morning I received the following email from Netflix…
Dear Zane And Karen,
You are receiving this email because you added unlimited Blu-ray
access to your account for $1 a month. The number of Blu-ray titles
has increased significantly and will continue to do so. As we buy
more, you are able to choose from a rapidly expanding selection of
Blu-ray...

The internet today is a little confusing

Do you ever find yourself struggling to figure out how to manage the torrent of new web services available out there? Probably not. I doubt you sit up at nights trying to figure out how to avoid using duplicate services for single purposes. Good news is I do. If your tired...

Blog updated again :) – Subscription Update Required!

While helping Melissa Wise Barrick update her photographer blog I decided it was time to change my own blog theme as well. My old theme had too skinny of a format that constrained the photo and video size of what I could post and the side bar was too crowded with widgets.
I...

Eat a Pita

Karen and I just had an excellent Pita from Eat-A-Pita on Rt 17. I don’t think I have had a pita since Wendy’s stopped selling them (damn you Wendy!). I’m not sure if this store is a chain or not. If you ever see one I recommend you give it a try....

Refurbished Merchandise

Exactly 4 years and one day ago I exchanged a 19″ LG LCD with a burnt out pixel for a new one (of the same kind). I know that because today I attempted to figure out how to repair it (it broke) and found out the warranty was expired. Not surprising since it...

Shipleys gets Google street view

I thought this was pretty funny. Today while using Google map to check directions for a business trip next week I noticed that Shipley’s Choice had Google Street view (you can now virtually walk around Shipley’s Choice).
Here is a screenshot of my Parent’s house in Shipley’s Choice.

It was great to be back last week...
